COVID-19 Global Port Restrictions

All Ports

At present there is no restrictions for vessel arriving from High Risk Countries unless the crew is found suspect or COVID-19 positive.

If any suspect or positive case is found on vessel prior calling to Qatar Port, the vessel will not be permitted to berth unless the vessel crew member(s) has reported negative from COVID-19.

Hamad & Mesaieed Port do not have facility of conducting PCR test.

Also, if any crew embarked one week prior to the vessel calling to Qatar Ports, crew has to produce PCR test report before arrival.

Vessels calling Qatar ports has to submit COVID-19 declaration prior 72/48/24 Hrs of vessel arrival, MDOH has to be submitted 24 Hrs prior and master has to confirm that no suspect or positive cases of COVID case.

UPDATE ON MEASURES TO PREVENT ENTRY 0f COVID-19 THROUGH RLC PORT

Ensuring the health and safety of all our employees, contractors, Port Users and visiting ship crew is of paramount importance to Ras Laffan Port management. The spread of Coronavirus (COVID-lQ) has become a global challenge and efforts are undeniable to contain the disease.

Ras Laffan Port is working closely with Ministry of Public Health in collaboration with other local medical entities to prevent and contain any out break of COVlD-19 in the State of Qatar through the Port.

It is critical that Port Users and ship crew make themselves fully aware of the facts regarding the virus, the signs and symptoms, and their own company guidelines regarding COVID-19 prevention and reporting procedures.

The International Chamber of Shipping has issued COVlD-19 Guidelines to Ship Operators in coordination with advice of various international bodies such as IMO. lLO and WHO for the protection of health of seafarers.

In line with the preventative and mitigation efforts undertaken by the parties, Ras Laffan Port is placing NO restrictions to ships to call to the Port from the various global ports including WHO list of affected countries.

Ship Crew change is subject to issuance of transit visas by Immigration authorities. Joining crew cleared through Hamad International Airport are allowed to board without any further health screening. Crew sign-off from ships is permissible subject to early notice and considered on case-by-case basis after advice from national health bodies.

Ras Laffan Port management is dedicated to the smooth running of the port and share stakeholders’ concern about the coronavirus outbreak.
