Suez Canal Surcharges

Please note that the Suez Canal Authority issued 12 new circulars updating the surcharges to be applied to various vessel types, for (laden/ballast) transits in both directions. These will be effective from 01 March 2022.

Circular No 1/2022: Crude Oil Tanker Surcharge increase 5% for both North and Southbound

Circular No 2/2022: Petroleum Tankers Surcharge increase 5% for both North and Southbound

Circular No 3/2022: Dry Bulk Surcharge increase 5% for both North and Southbound

Circular No 4/2022: Liquefied Petroleum Gas Surcharge increase 10% for both North and Southbound

Circular No 5/2022: Liquefied Natural Gas Surcharge increase 7% for both North and Southbound

Circular No 6/2022: Chemical & Other Liquid Bulk Tankers Surcharge increase 10% for both North and Southbound

Circular No 7/2022: Levied on Tiers of Container Ships Surcharge increased (refer to circular for %) for Northbound only.

Circular No 8/2022: General Cargo, Heavy Lift & Multipurpose Surcharge increase 7% for both North and Southbound

Circular No 9/2022: RORO Vessels Surcharge increase 7% for both North and Southbound

Circular No 10/2022: Vehicle Carriers Surcharge increase 7% for both Northbound

Circular No 11/2022: Special Floating Units Surcharge increase 7% for both North and Southbound

Circular No 12/2022: Other Vessels Surcharge increase 7% for both North and Southbound
