Waterfront Maritime Services DMCC (hereinafter “WaterFront” or “the Company”), the profile of which is published in its website www.WaterFront-ms.com, is governed by the following standard terms and conditions (all together referred as STC) for all transactions entered into by the Company unless otherwise agreed or stated by the Company in writing for specific transactions.

VAT Notification

As per the Federal Tax Authority announcement, Value Added Tax (VAT) will be implemented in the UAE from 1st of January 2018, hence WaterFront Maritime Services shall apply VAT for all business transactions falling under the TAX category as per FTA guidelines. General Conditions for Dutch Shipbrokers and Agents

Waterfront Maritime Services B.V. (Waterfront), registered at the Chamber of Commerce in Rotterdam, depending on the nature of activities Waterfront renders its services on basis of a commission contract to which the latest versions inclusive arbitration clauses deposited of the Dutch Forwarding Conditions 2004 (when forwarding), the General Conditions General Cargo-Stevedoors Amsterdam 2007 – (when stevedoring), Dutch Warehousing Conditions 1995 (when warehousing) and the General Conditions and Rules for Dutch Shipbrokers and Agents 2009 (when shipbroking) apply. Any contract pursuant to which services are rendered by the contract partner of Waterfront or its principal shall be governed by the General Dutch Shipbrokers Conditions. In case Waterfront is contracted to perform carriage of goods the following rules shall apply, depending on the mode of transport: CMR Convention 1956 (road), the Hague Visby Rules – 1968 (ocean going vessel), the Budapest Convention CMNI 2001 (inland waterway), CIM Convention 1999 (rail), Montréal Convention 2001 (air).
