COVID-19 Global Port Restrictions

As of 6th of September

Closed since 5th Sept morning, all land borders and Conakry Airport have been reopened after a meeting held this noon between military, previous government members and bureaucrats holding the rank of Secretary in the various Ministries. Ministry Secretaries have been requested to take charge of their respective Ministries as Acting Ministers until further notice.

In Conakry, the Kaloum Area which is the main city area where the Presidential palace is located is extremely calm. All establishments in this area are closed. Banks are closed. Rest of the city is normal, vehicles are plying, shops and establishments are open. Closed since yesterday morning, the Conakry port resumed operations this afternoon.

In Kamsar, life is normal. Banks are open today and ports operations are normal without impact of the current situation of the Country.

The curfew (from 20:00Hrs to 04:00Hrs) enforced yesterday by Col Doumbouya has been lifted with effect from today. Population is invited to resume its activities tomorrow 07/09 morning. Col Doumbouya confirmed that the COA for Mine concessions will be kept intact.

It is expected that normalcy will be restored in Guinea over the next 3 to 4 days.
