CREW CHANGE:
- Crew change resumed in Bahrain from 04 Jan 2022 with strict protocols in place.
- Within 48 hrs RT PCR is mandatory for any sign On or Sign Off.
- Visa availability for crew would be as per the existing rules/regulations (some restrictions are existing for certain nationalities which would be advised by immigration on case to case basis). Restricted nationalities are not permitted for crew sign off /sign on.
- Sign On – Crew to arrive Bahrain at least 3 days in advance to joining date , to complete the arrival quarantine period.
- Sign Off – Crew would need to complete RTPCR at approved hospital in Bahrain and return back onboard & wait for results onboard before disembarking for signing off.
- The permissions for crew changes can be withdrawn at any date future, subject to local covid cases. We will advice in case of any such changes once known to us.
REQUISITES:
Please note there isn’t any restriction if the vessels have called India before.
- As per the local procedure 72 hrs prior to vessel arrival, master should submit the pre-requisite documents including MDH (Maritime Declaration of Health) and associated documents through the agent to Health authorities.
- Vessel would be permitted to enter Bahrain water, only after completion of above mentioned 72 hrs period from submission by the agent. Based on the MDH submitted, Covid Control Room would advice further course of action, in case master reporting any abnormal cases onboard (the decisions are subject to vary as per the cases reported onboard).
- The ultimate decision on the vessel acceptance would be from National Task force for Covid (Covid Control Room).
SIGN ON:
- Crew members need to apply for a Visit/Business visa. A minimum of 5 to 6 working days is required to get the visa, which is subject to approval from Immigration. Visa application fee BHD. 20 (USD. 53) is applicable per paxand charges are applicable once the application is submitted for visa (Whether its approved or not approved) and the same will be included in FDA or cash to be settled by master.
- Sign On crew should arrive 2 days prior to vessel arrival in order to complete the COVID test and the time to be considered to publish the test result.
- Vessel crew can travel to Bahrain once the Visa is available.
- Rapid test for COVID-19 would be conducted upon arrival at Bahrain Airport & Individual to pay USD.80 at Bahrain Airport for the COVID test.
- Crew has to stay in hotel until the result available (Result would be available normally within 48 hrs).
- Immigration would grant the permission once the result is Negative and crew can join the vessel accordingly.
SIGN OFF:
- Crew members need to apply for a Visit/Business visa. A minimum of 5 to 6 working days is required to get the visa, which is subject to approval from Immigration. Visa application fee BHD. 20 (USD. 53) is applicable per paxand charges are applicable once the application is submitted for visa (Whether its approved or not approved) and the same will be included in FDA or cash to be settled by master.
- Sign Off Crew will be taken to the hospital for COVID Test and to be accommodated in hotel (with shore leave permission) for self-quarantine until result received.
- Vessel would be allowed to sail once the Off/Signer disembarked from vessel & cargo operation is completed.
- Exit Formalities would be completed once the COVID test result is available.
- Flight Ticket copy is required to complete the Exit formalities.
Vessel Attending:
- Upon Arrival in Bahrain the pax would be directed to COVID-19 test at Airport, Individual to pay for the test (USD 80).
- Pax would be picked up from Airport to accommodate in hotel until the result is published (this can be arranged by agent).
- Vessel attendance would be allowed once the result is negative.
FORMALITIES AND CHARGES IF ANY PAX FOUND COVID POSITIVE RESULT:
- Positive cases will be shifted to Government Medical Centre or paid quarantine facilities.
- The crew/pax would need to undergo 10 days compulsory paid quarantine at a designated facility or hotels (Cost would be advised at that time).
- COVID-19 test will be conducted on 5th day and positive cases will be continued to stay in quarantine & Negative cases will be released to travel / join the vessel.
Paid Quarantine Available
- Hotel accommodation, if required will be charged extra,
- Medical Expense if any –At actual as per invoice
- Transportation-
